Xiaomi To Sell Mi Devices Offline in "The Mobile Store"

Since its entry in India Last year, Xiaomi was selling its devices via Flipkart, Recently Xiaomi started The mobile accessories sale via the official website, Xiaomi has tied up with Airtel to sell Redmi note 4G variant offline in the Airtel Stores Across India. Now, according to the reports from ET Xiaomi to partner with The mobile store to sell its devices offline. According to report very less number of mi4 and Redmi Note 4G devices will be made available across all the 55 stores in Delhi from today, the Mobile store will also act as the service centers, the Mi Zone, where users can feel the Xiaomi devices and buy them instantly without waiting for the flash sales for weeks. The price of the devices will be same i.e. 9,999 and 19,999. The devices will also be available via Flipkart. The Mobile Store is the India's top mobile phone retailer with over 800 outlets, and in the coming days the offline sale will be made available in other top cities of India. Xiaomi is looking to set up mi.com as a full fledge Flipkart alternate online store to sell its products like Mi routers, TV, and other mobile goodies. Xiaomi is also starting its research and development center in Bangalore where the software part of the smartphones will be designed especially for Indian markets.
Commenting on the Occasion Manu Jain, head of India operations at Xiaomi, said to ET:This will be the first time that we’re getting into offline trade in India. In China, about 20-30% of total sales through come from telecom operators stores while the rest comes from our online store.
