Since Microsoft has acquired Nokia smartphone division, the Finnish company ruled out all the rumors regarding their return to smartphone manufacturing. Today the companies CEO Rajeev Suri has openly announced that Nokia will return to smartphone division in 2016. However, Nokia is planning to follow the same strategy as they did for Nokia N1 tablet where a third party manufacturer design and produces the tablets, and Nokia will use its named. This news will be a rejoice to Nokia fans who are waiting for a long time.

The Finnish company is currently in search for a suitable partner, and that shouldn't be a problem considering Nokia's brand name and image among tech circles. Nokia cannot license their product until the second half of next year based on terms with Microsoft. There were many rumors that Nokia will return to smartphone manufacturing with Android as their operating system and with N1 being an android tablet adds additional strength to the report. Sportskeeda Android App Review: One Stop for All Sports News

There are many Android app available in play store for sports lovers, but those apps are game specific, I mean take cricbuzz as an example, it is one of the leading website and also has an Android app, but what if the same cricket game fan wants to check how many goals did Messi score in a football match? Cricbuzz is of no use for the requirement. We are not pointing out cricbuzz in specific, but there are many other similar apps that can’t full fill our whole need then what is the solution? Guys at sportskeeda also thought the same and designed their own app naming it sportskeeda. The detailed explanation below educates you about why we choose Sportskeeda Android app for all our sports requirements.

Starting off with what is it exactly. Sportskeeda doesn’t need any introduction as they are here for the long time now, and their way of providing the service was proved efficient. Their website design is neat and elegant without much of annoying advertisements.Technology now a day is racing ahead of time with lots of innovations and creative ideas, and the possibility to perform any function using your smartphone has proved making wonders. There is a saying that says grown according to the time, so guys at sportskeeda a did grow accordingly. They had worked very hard from the day they decided to bring their Android app and make it easy for the visitors to check timely sports updates.

So they have launched their own Android App, why should you choose Sportskeeda over the competition? You might also have the same question if I am not wrong. Sportskeeda app displays updates regarding every game that is being played all over the world the current day. There are almost 41 categories with in the app to check update about your favourite sport. Now to maintain such a massive data the app interface must be designed in such a way that every person should know which section of the category he is accessing without any confusion.  The interface of the sportskeeda app is minimal without much bloatware ads just like their official website. Sportskeeda team claim that it was the result of several dozens of iterations and patterns.

On installing the app you are welcomed with the long list of 41 categories, and you need to choose any one of them based on your liking, and the app displays all the updates available at present. The design of the app matches the Google’s latest material design elements with beautiful colours and easy navigations.

Time to talk about the Features of the App:
  • A wide range of categories to choose from. Suppose you are into F1 or Squash? Just choose it on the welcome screen and the app becomes more personal and relevant by showing only the updates regarding F1 no other distraction.
  • If suppose you are on a vacation or can't access your television to watch the live game, Sportskeeda offers live text stream of any prominent game that is going on. Now you might worry about the Data consumption, the company says that the data consumption is virtually negligible. It aims to put all the best content from the web and social platforms at the epicentre of user experience.
  • The app seems pretty lightweight. With just over 4MB of download size, and blazing fast navigation, it clearly looks very well optimized for a device with just decent specs. In the specs which were ran independently, app’s homepage consumes a staggering ~95% less data than any conventional WAP page, and reading an article consumes ~98% less data. This has mainly got to do with the architecture of the app, and the general advantages which come with lightweight objects in data transfer. Data consumption rates are best depicted below
  • In coming weeks, the app plans to integrate leaderboards, point’s tables, and live scores more prominently. As per the Sportskeeda team, they wish to redefine what a sports app should be, and what it should do for a sports lover. They want to build something that they would want to use for following sports themselves.
  • Sharing feature is a revolutionary thought that changes the whole impression about the app. Suppose you have a friend you isn’t able to catch up in the game there is a feature that comes built-in the app that lets you share all the updates on the go. To be frank, we haven’t seen this feature in recent time on any sports app (we might be wrong).

Wrapping up:  Despite being in the Beta stage the app is receiving excellent response from the sports lover all over the country and is the only app to get a 4.9 rating while it’s still in beta stage. I have only one thing to say if you are a sports lover, just install the app you will love it for sure just like me. Here are some play store responses and rating.

LG Made New Nexus Smartphone Might Feature 3D Camera

LG is said to be working on new Nexus series smartphone; this news was here for some time now. Google has a tradition of launching a new Nexus series smartphone and a tablet every year, last year we had the Nexus 6 made by Motorola, which got mixed reviews from users. This time Google is making every possibility happen with the new Nexus smartphone. The news from Korean media iNews24 says that the smartphone might feature 3D camera along with two camera modules and an infrared sensor. However, the report doesn't mention how they both will function. The report says that the device will feature a premium build along with 3D graphics and comes with Android M out of the box.

There is also another rumor that surfaced last month that said that Huawei will be making the next Nexus series smartphone that will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 810. Google has been using the Snapdragon chipsets since Nexus 4. It is touted to sport a 5.7-inches 2K display. Either way the device will feature Snapdragon 810 and a 2K display, but the difference lies within the internals. Though nothing is being confirmed either by Google nor by the companies so it would be best if we take this news with the pinch of salt and wait till October for the official launch.

Coolpad Dazen 1 Review: Yuphoria Alternative

Coolpad entered Indian market couple of weeks ago with Dazen 1 and X7 smartphones. Dazen 1 smartphone is competing with the recently launched yuphoria while the X7 is competing with some pretty big names like OnePlus One, Mi4, Zenfone 2. We have already brought you the Hands-On initial impressions for the Dazen 1 smartphone that is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 system on chip(Soc). So the Dazen 1 smartphone is a perfect yuphoria killer? Can it survive the competition? Let's find out the answers to these questions.

Dazen 1 Smartphone Specifications:
  • 5-inches HD 720p Display
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 64bit Processor
  • Adreno 306 GPU
  • 2GB Ram, 8GB internal Storage(SD card slot)
  • 8-megapixel autofocus primary camera
  • 5-megapixel fixed front focus camera
  • 64-bit enabled
  • 2,500mAh battery
  • 4G LTE, Dual SIM, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS

Starting of the Review with the Design of the Device, On the first look the device resembles Redmi 2 smartphone but slightly bigger in size nothing like we are complaining but it should be mentioned. On top of the device, it has 3.5mm audio jack and nothing to accompany it, on the bottom it has USB port for charging and data transfers. On the left side, it has volume rockers and the buttons are tactile and offer a good amount of feedback when pressed, on the right side we are left with power on/off button. The back feature primary camera module with LED Flash, a secondary mic for noise cancelation, coolpad branding. On ripping the back panel we get access to the 2,500mAh user removable battery unit, Dual micro SIM slots, and SD card slot that supports up to 32GB.  The back panel is Matt finish, so a constant cleaning is necessary as it attracts smudges very quickly. On the front, there is 5-megapixel selfie shooter(more on that later), usual set of sensors, 5-inch display, and three touch type capacitive buttons that do light up when pressed and also offer haptic feedback. The build quality of the smartphone is decent nothing major to complain. It feels comfortable for one-handed usage, the rounded edges wouldn't hurt the hands while using the device. On the whole, the device has nothing unique to offer but it might appeal tot he people who prefer comfort over uniqueness.

Design Rating: 3/5.

Next up is the Display of the Device, the smartphone features 5-inches HD 720p display that has no protection, but it should survive sudden drops up to some extent. It is good to see a 720 panel over the 5-inch display as no sort of pixelation is seen and is sharp most of the times. But we are concerned about the yellowish tint that is visible while viewing the device at certain angles and another cons of the display is that it is reflective making it even hard to see in bring daylight. As said the display has no screen protection, so it is recommendable to use a screen protection if you are planning on purchasing the device.

Display Rating: 3/5.

Coming to the Performance of the Device, the device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 clocked at 1.2GHz Quad-Core 64bit processor, Unlike some Chinese branded smartphones that come with MediaTek processors. The device has Adreno 306GPU coupled with 2GB of Ram meaning it can run pretty anything in PlayStore except for high end graphic intense games. The day-to-day performance of the device is smooth as butter and it does justice for light users but once you plan to play massive graphic intense games you might end-up little disappointed as the games do not run as expected. We installed games like Aspahlt-8, Real Racing 3 and Nova 3 these games were not playable in highest graphic settings but once you shift to the medium level visual quality they are playable, and no frame drops noticed. A positive point about the device is that it doesn't warm quickly. During our testing, we have played various games and ran applications that test the real performance of the device but not once the device heated up.

Note: There is GSensor Calibration issue with the device, and we couldn't find a way to fix.

Performance: 3.25/5.

The device runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat Operating System with customized interface knows as Cool U.I. Just like any other Chinese smartphones interface there is no app drawer, the applications get installed on the home screen. Though there is nothing new to discuss the interface as said it is just like any other Chinese branded smartphones there is no lag or glitter in the U.I as we saw it in the Redmi 2. Thanks to the 2GB of Ram the apps open up real quick, and the multitasking is also decent. Overall the only con will be the older Android version and company has not disclosed any time frame regarding the Android 5.0 update.

U.I Rating: 3/5.

The device features 8-megapixel autofocus Primary Camera with LED flash with secondary mic for noise cancellation, the front packs 5-megapixel fixed focus selfie shooter. There are various modes like Beauty, Gif animation, HDR, Pro Mode, Night shot, Filters are also available by default. However, the rear camera performance is disappointing. The primary camera was not able to focus on things nearby which should make it difficult to capture decent images but if you a bit far from the object you want to focus the camera works fine then. Due to the focusing issue the images turn out to be blurry, and colors look washed out. The daylight shots are decent if you aren't focusing on any particular object, it can capture the good amount of details, but the colors are over saturated. There is a pro mode that allows you to adjust the iSO levels, White Balance manually, the night mode works well in capturing low light shots.  Images below show the camera performance.

Camera: 2.75/5.

The device packs 2,500mAh user removable Battery. Battery department is the area where the Coolpad Dazen 1 smartphone races ahead of the competition. The battery performance is excellent a typical user gets a day and half back up/ stand by time before they device runs out of juice.
