Micromax has been teasing the latest canvas series smartphone for over a week now, Today the company has sent out the invites for launch on April 21st Tuesday. the device is said to be a competitor for the Xiaomi Redmi 2, Lenovo A6000 /6000plus, Moto E 2015. Device will run android 5.0 lollipop out of the box, to feature Corning Gorilla glass 3 protection, might support 4G LTE bandwidths, regarding the chipset it's pretty unclear for now whether it would pack CyanogenMod or MediaTek processor, Might pack 2GB/1.5GB Ram 8/16GB internal storage, The company has hinted that device would be exclusively available via Snapdeal via Flash sales the price of the device is said to be less than 6,000 which is yet to be confirmed. Flipkart teamed up with Airtel and joined the Airtel Zero plan, which is a big blow to Net Neutrality, but yesterday Flipkart has decided to pull out the deal with Airtel to support the net neutrality, the move comes from the fact that it faced bitter response from users for supporting the Airtel Zero program.

Lenovo has slipped their tongue and mentioned about the upcoming smartphone which is an upgraded variant to the most popular A6000, called the A6000 plus. The device sports the same specifications except for the Ram and internal storage, the Ram on Device is now 2GB and internal storage of 16GB, there is no word on the pricing but we expect it to be somewhere around 7,499 though isn't officially mentioned given the fact that the pricing of original A6000 pricing and its successor A7000 pricing we can take a hint. Sony Xperia Z4 or Z3 Will Be Unveiled on April 20th 2015

We have not seen any major top line announcements and releases from sony from past few months, in contrast from past months we are now close to pretty huge announcement from Sony, but again its not a big surprise if it isn't flagship device like most of us would expect. The actual discusion is regarding the naming few reports/leaks suggest that the device will be called the Xperia Z3 Neo not the Z4.

Reports from Japan says that the company has already sent invites for the event to the Japaneese local media, the event will be held on 20th April 2015, which is the coming monday. there are two ways to assume about the event, one being sony will be introducing the Z3 Neo and postponing the flagship announcement to later this year, just the same time the Z3 was launched, on the other hand Sony might push the launch, givent the fact that Samsung and HTC has already launched their flagships and now LG will be later this month (28th april). There are few occassions where reports saying we'll actually be seeing an Xperia Z3 Neo, there is no proper confirmation except from few tweets. There are no details regarding the event sony hasn't revealed any details about it till now. well looks like me might have to wait for some more time to actually know whats coming.

Apple WWDC Event Scheduled On June 8th

Apple has announced the WWDC schedule for this year, The event will be focussed on the software side Announcements. This year the event will be held from 8th of June to 12th June 2015 at San Francisco, California. Reports suggest that Apple will be unveiling the next ios version i.e. IOS9 not just that, the all new Osx version, A new Apple T.V, Streaming Music service. Xiaomi Mi 4i With Octa-Core Processor Spotted Online: Might Launch in India on 23rd April

Xiaomi which sent out Indian invites for its official global launch of their device, the event tipped to launch several other devices but apart from those a new device has recently visited the benchmark applications according to the listing the device which xiaomi is going to launch is the new variant of their old flagship the Mi4, called the Mi 4i. the 'i' is the logo which the company is focusing for promotions.  Mi 4i, which was spotted by Chinese website MyDrivers on Singapore's Infocomm Development authority (IDA) database, and also on GeekBench, a benchmarking website.

The specifications listed were the smartphone is powered by Qualcomm snapdragon 615 chipset clocked at 1.6GHz Octa-Core processor coupled with 2GB Ram and 16/32GB internal memory, device runs on Android 5.0.2 lollipop with MIUI 6 on top unlike the original mi4 which is powered by Qualcomm snapdragon 2.5GHz Quad core processor, it's clear that the Mi 4i is trimmed down version of the original version.  the interesting part of the leak is that the specification look similar to that device which was code named Ferrari and leaked online back in march, the specifications of Ferrari include 1920*1080p FHD Display, powered by same Octa-core Snapdragon processor with 12mp rear camera and 4.8 front facing camera 2GB Ram and 16Gb internal memory. As of now,  no other detail is known. The launch of the device is April 23rd 2015 in New Delhi. Lenovo A7000 Hands-On, Initial Impression

Lenovo has launched the A7000 smartphone in India on 7th April 2015, the device is the successor to the highly successful A6000 which was launched back in January, the Lenovo A7000 is the world's first smartphone with Dolby Atmos Sound System,  I was at the launch event of A7000 and tested the device so here are my initial impression of the device. The front side of the device is the 5mega-pixel camera with usual set of sensors the capacitive buttons which give haptic feedback when pressed but to the sad part they won't light up, the device sports 5.5 inch HD display with 1280*720p resolution with 233 PPI, display is good with wide viewing angles, the color reproduction is good, blacks are dark with no hint of blue, the whites look little dull but that can be managed by tweaking the display settings a bit, Overall the display is good and fine improvement from A6000. The back side of the device features 8mega-pixel auto-focus camera with dual LED flash and secondary noise cancelation mic and speaker grills along with the Lenovo Branding. Right side sports the volume rockers and power on/off button these do feel tactile and give a good amount of feedback while using and there is nothing on the left side of the device. All this is good, but The main concern with A7000 would be the plastic build which kind of feels a bit cheap (my opinion) but that plastic build makes the device lighter yes the device weighs way less than the A6000, the device feels/fits perfectly in the hand though it is 5.5 inch the curved edges gives good amount of grip and single-hand usage wouldn't be a problem. 

The smartphone is powered by MediaTek chipset clocked at 1.5GHz 64bit Octa-core processor with 2GB Ram and 8GB internal storage the device performs lag free, and out of that 2GB Ram there is almost 1137MB of free ram while the phone is running 2-3 lightweight apps in background, Ram management on A6000 was one of the best features, now the A7000 gets even better, the performance of the A7000 was great without any glitches or lag in the U.I( vibe 2.0) the device runs on Android 5.0 lollipop with Lenovo's custom U.I called the Vibe version 2.0, the user interface has been tweaked a bit without giving up on the essence of lollipop sweetness. there is 2,900mAh battery unit, Lenovo says it would last the whole day

The 8mega-pixel rear camera can perform real good, the images turned out to be clear with lot of details and, less noise the camera app has lot of option to tweak the settings a bit, the effect option lets you choose among the filter, panorama is available, the camera can record Full HD 1080p videos and can also play the 1080p videos, the front packs the 5mega-pixel camera which is one of the best front facing shooter in the recent times, the images are clear, less noise, decent color reproduction it can record videos in 720p, we will be testing the camera further and will be updating with camera samples. the device runs on android 5.0 lollipop, the connectivity features include the 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, Dual sim. The key highlight of the device is, it is the world's first Dolby Atmos Powered android smartphone, the sound from the device is great, the Dolby app lets you modify/tweak the features even more, the device doesn't come with headphones bundled but Lenovo says the Dolby sound will work with any headphones. from the initial impression the device looks fantastic with some shortcomings like the plastic build, MediaTek processor( applicable only if you are looking for snapdragon) The device is priced at 8,999 and will be available exclusively via Flipkart from 15th April (obviously the flash sales) Keep watching this space for full updated review. stay tuned.
