Though there still the lot of time for the device to go official but it's never soon for details and specifics regarding the same. we have heard that Samsung might release just a single variant of Note, unlike last year where we had Note 4 and Note 4 Edge

Coming to details, The device could feature 2K or 4K resolution Super AMOLED display and companies own Exynos 7422 processor on board, which the company is very confident. The 7422 processor is the company's first all-in-one solution (ePoP) technology that will combine the RAM, GPU, Storage and modem on the single chipset. Galaxy Alpha had the same package, but it just combined the Ram and Storage. There is also a rumor that Samsung is testing the Note 5 with 7430 chipset that is just an engineering sample, and the company has no plans to make it official. Same goes with display resolution as well; the company is testing both the 2K and 4K resolution display's and it is still unclear about the final display resolution.

Talking about the device that will replace the Note 4 Edge, code named as Project Zen internally. The device will not be the curved display variant of Note 5 (Note 4 and Note 4 Edge) but it will be totally different variant which is powered by Hexa Core Qualcomm Snapdragon Soc and a 16-megapixel primary camera and 8-megapixel front-facing shooter. Device sports 5.5/5.4-inches Super AMOLED Dual Edge display.  Do Note that these are just rumors and insider sources about the testing, the original variants when launched might carry different specifications on board. Asus Zenfone 2 vs Xiaomi Mi 4i: The 12,999 Rs. Fight

Xiaomi has launched the mi4i smartphone as a flagship device in India, the device sports decent specifications for the price the company quoted. On the other hand, Asus has launched the trim down variant of Zenfone 2 with 2GB ram. Both these smartphones are well priced at Rs. 12,999 while the mi4i is available via flash sales on Flipkart. The Zenfone 2 is yet go on sale in India. When the smartphone are priced similarly the competition among them is obviously brisk, users tend to get confused while choosing one among them. Now if you are the one among them don't worry you are covered, a detailed explanation below will help you decide which one will perform better and what feature do they carry in them. So let's get started.

Build Quality:
Asus Zenfone 2: The zenfone 2 is bigger in size when compared with mi4i, sports 5.5 inch with the curved back panel. Though the device is built of plastic, the finishing makes it look like metal. The back cover isn't removable while there is space for MicroSD card and SIM Cards. Asus took a cue from LG and placed the volume button on the back below the camera, and the power button is moved to the top of the device making it harder to reach. There is nothing special to mention about the built quality of the zenfone 2, having said that, doesn't mean it's bad, at the same time it isn't that great either.

Xiaomi Mi4i:  People accuse Xiaomi of ripping off the iPhone 5s design language, but that's something we shouldn't care unless it is good.  The design construction of xiaomi's latest offering is decent enough; the back panel can't be removed, but there is the separate shell for SIM cards. Just like the Zenfone 2 there isn't anything special about the built of the mi4i. Its good, its compact, single hand usage is comfortable.

Winner: Neither of the phones manages to impress the audience, if you are one who like massive devices then you can select the Zenfone 2 if you are looking for compact size the mi4i is just for you. The decision is made by you depending on you requirement.

Display
Asus Zenfone 2: The device packs a 720p screen(1280*720p) and has corning gorilla glass three protection. The display looks good, viewing angles are decent, but the problem being is that the display isn't the sharpest and looks pixilated at times. Thanks to the 720p display on a 5.5-inch screen, which looks dull and faded out. The display simply disappoints, and it makes us wonder why Asus skipped the 1080p panel. Most devices now a day boot the similar display quality and they frustrate users all the time.

Xiaomi mi4i: The situation changes completely when it comes to mi4i display. The device features the 1080p display that is 1080*1920-pixel resolution. The display is way better when compared with zenfone 2's. It is sharp, and there is no pixelation visible what so ever, the sunlight legibility, what the company was stressing as a highlighting factor is just ok. The dark sides get brighter which in turn gives a better clarity at times. On the whole, the display on mi4i is simply the best, and it out takes the zenfone 2.

Winner: It's obvious that Xiaomi mi4i has an edge over the zenfone 2 in regards to the display quality and clarity. Hands down mi4i are the clear winner.

Performance
Asus Zenfone 2:  The device is powered by Intel Atom Z3560 Chipset clocked at 1.8GHz Quad-Core processor with PowerVR G6430 GPU, coupled with 2GB Ram and 16GB internal storage. The typical performance of the device is smooth, no lag is visible or experienced what so ever. The situation changes slightly while gaming, the device tends to get heated at times resulting in slight battery drain as well. Do not that we said just normal heating, nothing unbearable or overheating. Games ran smooth with no frame drops or glitters. Thanks to the 2GB Ram, the multitasking is better than the previous offerings.

Xiaomi mi4i:  Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 2nd Gen 615 chipset clocked at 1.7GHz Octa-core processor, supported by 2GB Ram and 16GB internal storage. There is lot to talk about the device performance, starting off with the average performance the device runs smoothly, with minute lag every now and then, but that's understandable considering the device has MIUI 6 custom layer on top of it. The issue comes when we start gaming; the device heats like crazy while gaming. The temperatures rise to 53 degrees that are not at all comfortable. When we select the balanced mode, the games lag and massive frame drops are noticed. Once we enable the performance mode, the games ran good but heats a lot.

Winner: I would blindly recommend the Asus Zenfone 2 over the mi 4i. The heating issue gave away the mi 4i smartphone.

Battery
Asus Zenfone 2: Now, Asus devices have faced lots of criticism for its poor battery performance. When I first heard about the second generation, I was eagerly waiting for the battery performance. But to the sad part, the second generation Zenfone 2 is not up to the expectations. Some battery algorithms have improved the battery backup time but still the screen on time is less than what's precisely required. Do note that these are just the initial impressions, w would keep you updated in the long run.

Xiaomi Mi 4i:  Xiaomi always has very careful in the battery department. The same goes with the mi 4i smartphone, the battery could last for a single day comfortably, Still some of the batteries left at the end of the day. The standby time has improved a lot; the battery didn't drain while using the 3G connection all the time.

Winner: isn't it obvious that mi 4i is the winner, it is, and it will always be. We must appreciate the company for handling the battery requirements so well.

OS and Storage:
Asus Zenfone 2: The device runs on Android 5.0 on top of Zen U.I. The user interface is highly customizable, and its users friendly giving the users many options to tweak around. The device packs 16GB internal storage and can be expanded via an SD card supports up to 128GB. The device also supports OTG, which allows you to carry data via an external memory stick. There isn't much of bloatware that come installed with the device.

Xiaomi Mi 4i: The device runs on Android 5.0.2 lollipop with companies own made miui six on top of it. The U.I is beautiful, lots of customization is available. Right from the lock screen to Boot animation everything can be modified. The storage on the device is 16GB out of which around 11Gb is available for users; there is no external SD Card slot. You are left with that default 11GB; it is sad considering users would want to insert a memory card and carry their data all the time. Silver lining part is that the device supports OTG, which means you can use the whole 11GB for apps and games while the external OTG stick can carry your data.

Winner: Asus Zenfone is the winner, as the memory can't be expanded for mi 4i smartphone, Giving it an edge to Zenfone 2

Camera:
Zenfone 2: Zenfone 2 sports 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera with Dual LED flash and at the front, 5-megapixel fixed focus camera. The camera performance is simply outstanding the low lights turn out to be amazing with the lot of details in the pictures. The pixel master camera software perform as expected so that won't leave you disappointed at all. The Own or low light mode decreases the brightness in the surrounding and capture the focused part apparently leaving no trace of disturbance or noise in the picture.  While the front camera struggles a bit to capture decent images, the images turn out to be brushed out.

Xiaomi mi 4i:  Same as the Zenfone 2, the mi 4i features 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera with Dual LED flash and a 5-megapixel front camera. When compared with Zenfone 2 mi 4i struggles a lot to capture decent images, low light pictures have lots of noises and they look terrible. Though the front camera can take better selfies, we couldn't take a better picture using the rear camera.

Winner: I must say the Zenfone 2, given the fact that the device can shoot better in low-light and in daylight conditions where the mi 4i suffers.

ConcludingC: Though both the smartphone are good in their ways; the Zenfone 2 has the slight edge over the mi 4i. The extreme heating issue and the average camera gives the mi 4i. Not hat mi 4i is terrible smartphones it just fails to impress in the major departments. While the average battery on the Zenfone is a pain as well. To cut short, if you are planning on buying either of the smartphones there has to be few compromises made in order to settle for one. Look out for the detailed review of both these devices.
