Micromax Q338 Smartphone Running on Android 5.1 Launching Soon

Micromax is on the verge on launching Q338 smartphone very soon in India. The device sports 5-inches HD(1280*720) IPS display and is powered by MediaTek MT6580Soc clocked at 1.3GHz Quad-Core Processor with 1GB of Ram. There is 8GB of internal storage with an SD card slot for memory expansion. Runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.


On the photography side, the device features an 8-megapixel autofocus primary camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel selfie camera. Connectivity features include 3G, Dual SIM, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and also it supports 10 Indian languages. The Micromax Q338 comes in black and white colors and is priced at Rs.6,499 and the company will be launching the device very soon in India. Stay tuned.

Indian Smartphone Makers Micromax, Karbonn, Celkon Investing 750 Cr To Setup Manufacturing Plants in Andhra Pradesh

Indian smartphone makers Micromax, Celkon, Karbonn gearing up to invest 750 crores in setting up manufacturing plants in Andhra Pradesh according to the latest report from Economic Times. Further, the report says that these three companies have signed an Agreement with the state government  These three companies will be setting up the plants near the Industrial park(coming up) near Renigunta, Tirupati. The government is also trying to bring in other handsets like Lava, Intex, etc The government is looking to create an ecosystem where Foxconn can produce over 7 million units per month by the end of 2016.

Micromax is also sketching the possibility to Manufacture Tablets, LED TV's and monitor's at the Tirupathi plant while Celkon will initially focus on SKD(semi-knocked-down) handsets. Xiaomi has already teamed up with Foxconn and is already is a process of producing the smartphones.  Many other smartphone manufacturers like HTC, SONY, Microsoft, Asus, Gionee are also kick starting their plants.

Micromax Canvas Juice 3 and Juice+ Launched in India

Micromax has launched the Canvas Juice series smartphones in India. The Juice series smartphones are mainly known for massive battery capacities continuing that legacy, Juice 3 and 3+ have a whopping 4,000mAh battery on board. The Juice 3 smartphone sports 5-inches HD(1280*720) IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Powered by MediaTek MTK 6580Soc clocked at 1.3GHz processor coupled with 2GB of Ram and 8GB internal storage with an SD card slot for memory expansion. Runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the  box. 


On the photography side, the device features an 8-megapixel autofocus primary camera with LED flash and on the front there is a 2-megapixel selfie camera. The resounding pair of 96dB speakers with Cirrus logic Wolfson stereo DAC that delivers 3 times louder sound than the Canvas Juice 2 and also improved sound quality says the company. Connectivity features include WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, 3G HSPA+ Dual SIM. As said above the smartphone has a whopping 4,000mAh battery. Priced at Rs.8,999 and is now available offline and online markets. 


The company has also launched the Juice 3+ is a bigger version of Juice 3. The smartphone sports 5.5-inches HD(1280*720) IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Powered by MediaTek MTK6580Soc clocked at 1.3GHz Quad-Core processor with 2GB of Ram and 16GB internal storage with an SD card slot for memory expansion. Runs on Android Lollipop Out of the box. The cameras on the smartphone feature an 8-megapixel autofocus primary camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel selfie camera. connectivity features include WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, 3G HSPA+ Dual SIM. As said above the smartphone has a whopping 4,000mAh battery The device isn't yet available to purchase but will be at the end of this month.

Micromax Planning To Develop its Own Custom OS Based on Google's Android Ofcourse

Xiaomi, Huawei, OnePlus and many other companies cooked their own Custom operating system based on Android and are providing timely updated to their operating systems, recently Xiaomi has announced its MiUi7 Rom you can read the features and functions of the U.i here. New to join the league is the Micromax, as per the reports from ET. 



In a formal interview with ET, Micromax Co-founder Vikas Jain revealed companies plan to develop their own custom operating system for mobiles, tablets, smartwatches, T.V from the company. The operating system brings special services and apps that will run on all Micromax devices mentioned above. Do note Micromax's new operating system services will also be available for Yu series smartphones. Micromax's software department might be working on the Operating system currently in Bangalore with around 75 members who are acquired from Nokia's R&D. Developers are welcome to port the Rom to any other smartphone. Micromax's first smartphone with Custom OS is said to be launched by the ned of this financial year. Micromax has launched the Canvas Tab P680 in India Today. The device sports 8-inches (1280*800) IPS display and is powered by MediaTek Soc clocked at 1.3GHz Quad-Core processor with Mali 400 GPU coupled with 1GB of Ram and 8GB internal storage which is further expandable upto 32GB. There is 5-megapixel primary camera and 2-megapixel selfie camera.


The Dual rear speakers promise to produce clear audio. Canvas Tab P680 comes in black and metallic copper color and is priced at Rs. 9,499. It will be available through retail outlets and online partners starting from 22nd August.

Powered by MediaTek  MT6592M clocked at 1.4GHz Octa-Core processor coupled with 1GB of Ram and 8GB internal storage that can further expanded up to 32GB. Runs on Android 4.4.4 and is upgradable to Android 5.0 Lollipop, There is 13-megapixel autofocus primary camera with Dual LED flash and 2-megapixel selfie shooter. Micromax has finally unleashed the Canvas series flagship smartphone i.e Canvas sliver 5 today here in India. The device is said to be the slimmest smartphone that has ever made by Micromax with just 5.1mm thickness and is completely made of aircraft grade aluminum. Keeping aside the build the device sports 4.8-inches HD AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla glass 3 protection and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 Soc clocked at 1.2GHz Quad-Core processor with Adreno 306GPU coupled with 2GB of DDR3 Ram and has 16GB internal storage. On the camera side, the device packs 8-megapixel autofocus primary camera with LED flash and is capable to record videos in 1080p clarity while the front houses a 5-megapixel fixed focus camera. Micromax Canvas Hue 2 Smartphone Introduced at ₹11,736


Though Micromax is not launching the smartphones in a grand way we have seen the smartphone from Indian company very often lately, new to add the list is the Canvas Hue 2. The smartphone has not seen any official launch, but it is available via Ebay.in for  ₹11,736. The device sports 5-inches HD AMLOED display with no screen protection and is powered by 1.7GHz MediaTek Octa-Core processor with Mali T760 GPU. The device has 2GB of Ram and 16GB of Internal storage with an SD card support up to 32GB, Runs on Android 4.4 KitKat which might be updated to Lollipop 5.0 in future no official word though. The battery on Hue 2 is 2,000mAh which is a let down 3,000mAh seen on Canvas Hue 1 launched earlier this year.  4G isn't supported and you are left with 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, USB port are some of the connectivity features included. On the camera side, the device features a 13-megapixel autofocus primary camera with LED flash and has a 5-megapixel front camera. Well considering the price we feel its a bit on the costlier side same as the Canvas Knight 2 Lanched earlier.

Micromax Canvas Knight 2 Smartphone Arrives to India

Micromax smartphone launch streak is going on, in the past couple of weeks we have seen almost three to four Micromax smartphone entering the Indian market. Micromax Canvas Knight 2 is the new smartphone to join the list. Knight 2 is the first smartphone from Micromax to feature 4G LTE(apart from Yu smartphones). The device sports -inches HD AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla glass three protection. Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 Chipset clocked at 4×1.5GHz + 4×1.0GHz 64bit Octa-Core processor with Adreno 405 GPU coupled with 2GB of Ram and 16GB internal storage with SD card slot with SD card expansion. 


There is 13-megapixel Sony IMX214 sensor, LARGAN 5P lens primary camera with LED flash, the front houses 5-megapixel selfie shooter. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, 3G/2G, Hybrid Dual SIM, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS. 2,260mAh battery powers the device. The device is priced at 16, 299 and will go on sale across India starting from June 10th, 2015, as part of promotion Airtel is offering free 4G SIM and Double data offer on the purchase of the device. The tablet sports 8-inches HD IPS display with no sort of protection layer, powered by Intel Atom chipset clocked at 1.3GHz(boost up to 1.83GHz) 4th generation powerful quad-core processor with PowerVGR GPU coupled with 1GB of Ram and 8GB internal storage that can be expanded with an SD card slot, run on android 4.4KitKat that will be upgraded to Lollipop 5.0. On the camera side, the device features 5-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash while on the front it has 2-megapixel selfie shooter. Micromax Android 1 AQ4502 with Android Lollipop 5.1 Now Available in India

Micromax has launched the Android 2 smartphone in India for Rs.6,299, According to Mahesh telecom Mumbai. Going by the name the device might be a successor of Android one smartphone that was launched in association with Google, only the android 2 is nowhere related with google. Android 2 is first Micromax smartphone to run on Android 5.1 while the rest of canvas series smartphone run on 5.0.2.

The device sports 4.7-inches(480*854 pixels) IPS display. The smartphone is powered by MediaTek chipset clocked at 1.3GHz Quad-Core processor with mali mp2 400 GPU coupled with 1GB of Ram and 8GB internal storage with SD card expansion up to 32GB. Features 5-megapixel autofocus primary camera with LED flash and 2-megapixel fixed focus selfie shooter. Connectivity features include WiFi, 3G, Bluetooth 4.1, GPRS/EDGE, USB port. The device comes with light, gravity, and proximity sensors, the device has 1,700mAh battery unit. priced at 6,2999 the Android 2 smartphone will be launched very soon in India. Do note the source mentioned it as A1 but with different Model/serial number that means this could just mean that an upgraded variant also.

Micromax Doodle 4 with 6-inches Display Now Available in India

Though Micromax Hasen't officially launched the Doodle 4 smartphone in India, The device is available to purchase via Ebay.in.  Doodle 4 supposed to successor of last year's Doodle 3 smartphone sporting similar 6-inches display but the difference comes in screen resolution. The Doodle 4 features a QHD display with 960X540 resolution also has Corning Gorilla glass 3 protection. powered by MediaTek chipset clocked at 1.3GHz Quad-Core processor coupled with 1GB of Ram along with 8GB of internal storage with an SD card slot that supports upto 32GB. There is an 8-megapixel auofocus primary camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel fixed focus selfie camera. 3G, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth are built-in and a 3000mAh battery powers the smartphone. Priced at 9,199 the Doodle 4 is a bit on costlier side compared with the competition. The actual MRP is 9,999 and is expected to go official very soon.

Micromax is all set to launch the Unite 3 smartphone in India, the smartphone is supposed to be the successor of company's popular Unite 2 device which was launched during may last year. The device is available on a third party e-commerce site and is also listed in companies website. The device sports similar 4.7 inch with 480*800 resolution, and is powered by MediaTek chipset clocked at 1.3GHz Quad-Core processor, supported by 1GB Ram and 8GB internal storage with an expandable storage. Micromax To Launch Canvas Spark On April 21st

Micromax has been teasing the latest canvas series smartphone for over a week now, Today the company has sent out the invites for launch on April 21st Tuesday. the device is said to be a competitor for the Xiaomi Redmi 2, Lenovo A6000 /6000plus, Moto E 2015. Device will run android 5.0 lollipop out of the box, to feature Corning Gorilla glass 3 protection, might support 4G LTE bandwidths, regarding the chipset it's pretty unclear for now whether it would pack CyanogenMod or MediaTek processor, Might pack 2GB/1.5GB Ram 8/16GB internal storage, The company has hinted that device would be exclusively available via Snapdeal via Flash sales the price of the device is said to be less than 6,000 which is yet to be confirmed. Looks like we need to wait for a few days to confirm all the details.

Micromax has just announced that the lollipop to Unite 2 will start rolling out from April 7th 2015, Unite 2 was the most successful smartphone of the year 2014, the company has sold almost 1.5 million smartphones since its launch in May 2014. MediaTek recently ported the lollipop Rom to MT6582 chipset, so the update is being processed faster. Micromax Canvas A1 revieved the lollipop recently. With many canvas series smartphones to follow the, Micromax looks promising by proving the update to it majority of smartphones. The unite 2 Users will get the official OTA update starting from April 7th, users will get notification about the update if the device is connected to the internet, or they can manually check for the updates via settings.
