Xiaomi's Next Device To Be Launched in India is The Mi4, The Sales of Mi4 Starts From February 10th 2015 i.e The Coming Tuesday, Lets Find Out How The Device Performs in The Detailed Review Below.
Box Contents:
- MI4
- USB Cable
- Travel Charger
- Manuals
- Sim Ejector Tool
- Warranty Information
Design:
The Mi4 is One Of The Good Looking Device in Recent Times, The Phone Comes With Stainless Steel Frame and Aluminium Magnesium Alloy Mid Frame, Which Makes The Device Unique and Good Looking. The Edges of The Device Are Rounded Giving a Curvier Look, The Back Panel Slides To The Edges of The Device.on Top of The Device Has The 3.5 mm Headphone Jack and Infrared Port.On The Right Side There is Power and Volume Buttons With Nice and Tight Grip. and on The Left There is Single Micro Sim Slot, Micro USB Port and Speaker Vent Along With Primary Microphone are Placed on The Bottom of The Device, There is Dual mic For Noise Cancellation. The Back Packs 13MP Primary Camera With LED Flash and MI Branding, The Back Panel Feels Glossy And is Textured Which Looks Good.on The Front its a 5 Inch Full HD Display With Concor Gorilla Glass Unlike The Corning Gorilla Glass, But The Screen isn't Scratch Resistant so Its Suggested to use a Screen Protector.
Display:
Mi4 Sports a Beautiful 5 inch Full HD Display With 1920*1080p Display Resolution and Concor Gorilla Glass Protection Which is Prone to Scratches and Finger Prints. The Screen is a Bit Reflective So There is Chance of Glare While Viewing and Color Contraction Levels and Saturation Levels are Decent. So The issue Here Might Be The Glass Protection Other Than That There are Not Much Complaints.
Performance:
The Performance of Mi4 is Quite Smooth, The Device is Powered By Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 Chipset Clocked at 2.5Ghz Quad Core Processor But There's a Catch, Device Heats Up a Bit on Heavy Usage While Using in performance Mode, So Avoid Using it in Performance Mode. Basic Balanced Usage is Good. There is 3GB Ram out of Which Only 2GB is Available For Use(weird) Still it Performance Good. The Device Can Run Some High End Games Without any Lag But The Issue Here is It Gets Heated on Heavy Usage Which is Normal Though. The processing Speeds are Also Good, Overall a Decent Performer Again.
Bench Mark Results:
| Quadrant | 15094 |
| AnTuTu | 33588 (Balanced) |
| AnTuTu | 43935(Performance) |
| Nenamark 2 | 60.1 fps |
| Multi Touch | 10 point |
Camera:
The Camera on Xiaomi Mi4 is 13MP With LED Flash and Noise Cancellation, Camera on Mi4 Outshines Its Competitors, focus Can Be Really fast in Just 0.3 seconds and There Seems no Shutter Delay as Well.Once The Focus is Fixed We Get a Circular Ring With Camera Logo To Capture Pictures and on The Outer Side of The Ring Manual Exposure on Rotating The Ring. Camera App Seems To Have Many Filters and Add-ons Making it one of The Feature Rich Camera Application.Videos Can Be Recorded in 4K Resolution With 50 Frames Per Second, The Clarity of The Turns Out Brilliant.and The Front Camera is 8MP Which is More Than Enough For Decent Selfies and 3G Video Calling, Although it Records Videos in HD, The Clarity of The Video Seems lightly Over Saturated But That Can Be Fixed Manually. Over all The Camera is Great Performer.
Battery:
There is Non Removable 3000mah Battery Unit. The Performance of Battery is also Excellent, On Continuous Gaming and Running Benchmark Applications For About 40 Minutes The Battery Drained 14%, and Video Playback For 25 Minutes It Drained About 9%. With Above Mentioned Figures Its Suffice To Say The Battery Can Give a Backup of Upto 4-6 Hours on Continuous Usage. it Can Last a Day With Moderate Usage. But Once The Battery Mode is Shifted From Balanced to Performance The Device Tends to Heat Up, its Recommended to use in Balanced Mode.

Software and Connectivity:
The Device is Running on MIUI 6 on Top of Android 4.4 KitKat. The Interface of MIUI 6 Has Been Polished a Lot With Minimal Look and Many Attractive Animations Without Compromising The Performance , Right From The Start Screen to Settings Menu, The UI Looks Better Than before. Miui 6 Will Be Rolled Out To The Other Xiaomi Devices also.Coming to Connectivity There are Usual Set of Features Like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Infrared (IR Blaster), But To The Sad Part The Device Does Not Support 4G Bandwidths Unlike The Redmi Note 4G, Which May be a Huge Disappointment if Your Looking For 4G Device.Other Than That There isn't Any Issue With the Device.
Bottom Line: Another Great Performer From Xiaomi, This Time With Cool Attractive UI. Comparing Mi4 With Mi3, Both Out Rank its Competitors With Great Performance and Great Camera. If You Can Compromise on 4G, Mi4 is a Great Device to Buy.
