Facebook Launched ‘Lite’ app for Low End Android smartphones. The app which uses less data connection as per a report from TechCrunch. Facebook Lite Aimed at people with poor internet service or who are limited to 2G networks. The app is currently available in just eight countries in Africa and Asia: Bangladesh, Nepal, Nigeria, South Africa, Sudan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam and Zimbabwe. It also works on devices running Android 2.2. In addition, the app even includes Facebook Messenger that is not present in Facebook’s main app. The move from the company is targeted towards garnering more users from emerging markets.
